It All Started With a Pencil.

Gifted with a fresh pack of colored pencils at the age of 10, artist Abby Krick knew these were the only tools she needed in life. A Pittsburgh native, Krick’s creative upbringing carved her future into being an artist and amateur illustrator. Through the power of art, she began to collect specimens from her own backyard, inspiring Krick to further investigate the intricate details and classifications of species living in her ecosystem.

Currently, her work focuses on weaving the traditional methods of botanical art and illustration through a child-like aesthetic in the hopes of accurately classifying various species of plants and animals.
